Little Learners Big Ideas
PLAY, EXPLORE, INNOVATE
Llama Llama Red Pajama
Storybook Event & Owls (Observe, Wonder, Learn, Share) Workshop
The Llama Llama series of picture books by Ann Dewdney are a wonderful way to introduce the topics of feelings and emotions. In this storytime we read Llama Llama Red Pajama, participated in a proprioceptive retelling of Llama's bedtime adventure, and learned about how shapes are everywhere... even in Llama's quilt! For the OWLS Workshop, we explored making different objects with special shape puzzles called Tangrams. The children could also create their own quilt block using pattern blocks.

These activities were designed using the ideas found in our six part video series, Little Learners, BIG Ideas.
